Step 3: Install the mobile app for WordPress plugin.
In this step, you will need to connect your website to your app. This step is probably the most difficult one because the plugin does not have an interface within WordPress. Here are the exact steps you will need to take:
- On AppMySite, go to Connectivity > Install Plugin. Download the Plugin.
- Login to your WordPress backend as an administrator and upload, install and activate the plugin.
- In your WordPress Admin, go to Users > Profile and scroll down to the Application Passwords section.
- Choose a New Application Password Name (the name of your app will work) and then click the Add New Application Password button. Copy the password that is generated.
- On AppMySite, go to Connectivity > Grant Access and toggle on the Grant access with WordPress Application Password. Enter your WordPress Administrator Username and the password you just created. (Note: If you don’t see Application Passwords on the edit profile page, it’s possible one of your security plugins has disabled it. Refer to the security plugin’s documentation on how to enable Application Passwords. Also, ensure your website has a valid SSL certificate and that your Permalink is set to Post Name.) Click the Verify button at the top to complete this step.
- On AppMySite, go to Connectivity > Troubleshooting and click the Troubleshoot button at the top to identify any issues that need to be resolved.

After previewing my app, I did need to go back to settings to make a few changes. In fact, I decided to go into my WordPress admin and make a custom menu that I could use for my app, which I was then able to select under Menu by toggling the pick a menu from my website option.
